Lisa’s name may not start with a ‘G’, and Megan may not be a cunt, but these ladies give your average G-words and Saturday shopping cunts a furious shakeup in a night of delirious, loving, surly, hip-hoppish, outlandish and spiteful spoken words. Two girls, two shows. One about the grossness of being girly and other bits; t’other about muffs on the loose wanting to get out of shopping complexes. It’s gonna be so crazy yo’ mama gonna cry. Six shows only! Attend!

Story To… contributor Richard Ibrahim has had some of his work selected as part of a group photographic show, Picture This 08, at Brunswick Street Gallery.

Opening night is Friday 12 September, from 6pm, and the exhibition runs until 25 September.

We’ll be there so you should go too!

Get to It: ‘Anyone Can…’ the launch

I’ve been hanging around with a great group via cyberspace called City Library Street Press and we’ve just put together a collaborative zine called Anyone Can Make a Zine. We’re having an awesome launch event at Sticky, 6 September, at 1-2pm and then heading back to the City Library where you can decorate the cover of your very own copy (only $4) and partake in some yummy home baked food.
